Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Layla Carll, operating as “Layla Inspired” (“we,” “us,” or “our”), regarding your use of our tutoring services and website at laylainspired.com.

By accessing our website, booking a session, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

Services Provided

Layla Inspired provides personalized tutoring services including:

• Academic Tutoring: K-12 through college level support in mathematics, reading, writing, science, history, and test preparation
• Language Instruction: ESL/ELL tutoring, Spanish, French, accent reduction, and conversation skills
• Art & Creative Expression: Drawing, painting, art theory, art history, and creative journaling

Services are provided both online (via video conferencing platforms) and in-person, subject to availability and mutual agreement.

Eligibility and Parental Consent

Our services are available to students of all ages. For students under 18 years of age:

• A parent or legal guardian must provide consent and agree to these Terms
• The parent/guardian is responsible for all payments and communications
• The parent/guardian must be present or available during sessions involving minors
• All scheduling and cancellations must be handled by the parent/guardian

Booking and Scheduling

Session Booking

• Sessions must be booked in advance through our website or by contacting us directly
• We offer flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends
• Session times are confirmed upon booking and payment
• We reserve the right to decline booking requests that do not align with our services

Free 15-Minute Consultation

We offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation to discuss learning goals and determine the best approach for your tutoring needs. This consultation does not constitute a commitment to ongoing services.

Payment Terms

Pricing

Our current pricing structure is:

• Academic Tutoring: $40-300/hour depending on level and complexity
• Language Instruction: $45-400/hour depending on level and specialization
• Art & Creative: $40-600/hour depending on medium and level

Payment Requirements

• Payment is due at the time of booking unless other arrangements are made
• We accept various payment methods including credit cards, bank transfers, and digital payments
• Package deals and bulk session discounts may be available upon request
• Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation by Client

• 24+ hours notice: Full refund or session rescheduling
• Less than 24 hours notice: 50% refund, session may be rescheduled subject to availability
• No-show or same-day cancellation: No refund, full session fee applies
• Emergency situations: Considered on a case-by-case basis

Cancellation by Layla Inspired

If we need to cancel a session, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer:

• Full refund of the session fee
• Priority rescheduling at your convenience
• Compensation for any inconvenience caused by short-notice cancellations

Client Responsibilities

As a client, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information about learning goals, challenges, and relevant background
• Arrive punctually for scheduled sessions
• Maintain a respectful and appropriate learning environment
• Complete any agreed-upon homework or practice assignments
• Communicate any concerns or feedback promptly
• Ensure reliable internet connection and appropriate technology for online sessions
• Respect intellectual property and not share or distribute proprietary materials

Tutor Responsibilities

Layla Inspired commits to:

• Provide qualified, professional tutoring services
• Maintain confidentiality of student information
• Prepare appropriate materials and lesson plans
• Communicate progress and recommendations clearly
• Maintain professional boundaries and conduct
• Respond to communications within 24 hours
• Provide a safe and supportive learning environment

Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers

No Guarantee of Results

While we strive to provide excellent tutoring services, we cannot guarantee specific academic outcomes, test scores, or learning results. Student progress depends on many factors including effort, attendance, and individual learning differences.

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for services. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from our services.

Technology Disclaimer

For online sessions, we are not responsible for technical issues, internet connectivity problems, or platform outages that may affect session quality or availability.

Intellectual Property

All materials, lesson plans, and content created by Layla Inspired remain our intellectual property. Clients may use materials for personal learning purposes but may not:

• Reproduce or distribute materials without permission
• Use materials for commercial purposes
• Share materials with third parties
• Claim ownership of our proprietary content

Termination

Either party may terminate the tutoring relationship at any time with notice. Upon termination:

• All outstanding payments become due immediately
• Scheduled sessions may be canceled according to our cancellation policy
• Confidentiality obligations continue
• Access to proprietary materials ends

We reserve the right to terminate services immediately for inappropriate behavior, non-payment, or violation of these Terms.

Privacy and Confidentiality

We maintain strict confidentiality regarding student information and progress. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

We may share general progress updates with parents/guardians of minor students as appropriate for educational purposes.

Dispute Resolution

We encourage open communication to resolve any concerns. If disputes arise:

• First, contact us directly to discuss the issue
• We will work in good faith to find a mutually acceptable solution
• If necessary, disputes may be resolved through mediation
• These Terms are governed by local applicable laws

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify clients of material changes via email or website notice. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
